Female Logics or How Sports Can Influence Your Marriage

My best friend Klaris told me this story. Once she fell in love with....not a prince on the white horse, to say truly, and moved to his place. They started to live together and soon decided to marry. From this moment the story begins.

Klaris was a young, pretty woman with a clear mind and a good job. No-one could ever suggest that she would fall in love with such a man as Tom. To clear the situation: Tom was a young, fat, fat and fat man with a stupid smile on his face and a low-paid job. Klaris called him gently "my donut" and all her friends sniggered at him. He was not her type at all, but "beauty lies in lover's eyes"! Anyway, he made a proposal to her and she said "yes". Soon after this, strange things began happening to Tom...

Tom realised that Klaris was too good for him and told her about this many times. Klaris agreed, but never said it aloud; such position gave her the privilege to be the leader and it suited her perfectly. Now there was no way back - the wedding was going to be in two months and Tom had to work much harder. That's why he started to come home two/three hours later than usual, as if he stayed longer at his job.

For the first several weeks Klaris didn't pay attention to these delays. All her free time she was busy with planning many things for the wedding and sending invitation cards with her and her donut's photo on them. Finally, she noticed that Tom began losing weight sharply and this made her worry: "Maybe my cooking's bad.... or he's just worrying because of the coming wedding, or........he's got a lover!"

And Klaris, being rather a clever woman, stopped exactly at the last thought. Why? Because: "My cooking's perfect - my parents told me that. There's nothing to worry about the wedding - everything's in my hands. Tom has a lover because he is always late, and he's losing weight because of having much sex with her!"- she decided. The next step was to get some proofs.

That evening Tom was late again and Klaris telephoned to his job. There she was told that Tom had left a couple of hours before. "Bingo!"- thought Klaris and began reading the article "How to Make a Perfect Quarrel with My Husband". What did I say - a clever woman!

The quarrel was really perfect! It started with the words "Where a hell have you been" and ended with "divorce (!), apartment division (!!) and alimony (!!!)". Exactly like in the article! Tom even lost his consciousness twice! It cost him great efforts to prove Klaris that he was visiting sport club to get thinner for the wedding and that he didn't tell her just to make a surprise. The absence of sex for the last weeks was explained by Tom's unwilling to show his constantly losing weight body - not to spoil the surprise!

Peace was restored. "Well, at least now he knows what's waiting for him in case of adultery! My poor donut, he was so frightened!"- thought Klaris later. But Tom wasn't a donut any longer. Looking at the photo in the invitation cards and at the groom most of the guests thought that these were different men. As it was impolite to ask the bride about it some women still think that Klaris is a great woman. Why? Because she managed to break up with her fiance, to find a handsome man and to make him marry her without removing the date of the wedding!

They still don't know that it was the same Tom, who is now "ex-donut".
