It's a funny story; my girlfriend becomes angry when she hears it, but still I'm going to tell you it.It happened several years ago - I fell in love. The girl was too beautiful to be mine, but I was, perhaps, too lucky to attract her. At that time it seemed like there's no other girl of such beauty in the world!
On the first week of our relationships I made a declaration of love to her. I knew it was a little bit sudden but this feeling overfilled me and I couldn't keep it inside any longer. However, my girl reacted intently to my declaration and changed the topic. Perhaps, I was too quick and she wasn't ready.
After a few wonderful weeks I repeated my words of love and missed again. She behaved very strange and didn't reply. Then I guessed she had had a bad experience in the past. But I didn't lie and was going to prove my love no matter how!
Our next date was going to be in the funfair. The day was wonderful, my mood was no worse and it seemed to be a good chance to talk about our feelings. However, my beloved girl came to me very upset. She was very tense and always turned her face away when was close to me. Finally, I found out what was wrong - the problem was in her problematic skin. She had some skin inflammation on her chin from time to time and was afraid she looked ugly with "this huge red spot". Actually, I wouldn't even have noticed it if she hadn't told me (women's whims!).
Well, it was easy to make her forget about this red spot and we had a good time in the funfair. When the evening came it was the right time to realize my plan. We were talking for a long time. As it came out I was right: once she had had a bad experience and now she didn't believe anyone. However, I didn't give up and, finally, heard such words: "If you prove me your love the way I'll tell you, I'll believe you". I was definitily sure in my feelings and agreed to do anything she wanted.
Some days later my girlfriend phoned me and said she would come together with her sister. "She wants to introduce me to her family", - I thought - "That's a good sign". I dressed in my best and went to a set place. In some minutes I noticed two girls approaching. They were both slim, tall, with long beautiful hair, wearing fashionable clothes and....both looked like my girl!
As they were coming closer, my eyes became larger and larger - they were twins! And one of them was my girlfriend, but who?! The girls were smiling (perhaps I looked funny with my mouth open) and then said together: "If you want to prove your love, try to find it first of all!" I was shocked! They were wearing the same clothes, had the same hair, make-up, body, even their voices were similar!
The girls were staring at me and waiting; I was fretting....She had never told me she had a twin sister! But in a minute... An inflammation spot on the chin! I just hoped the other twin didn't have the same problem. I came closer. Though the spot was carefully covered with make-up, it was still seen on the chin of one twin. "It's easy, here is my love," - I said and kissed my girl. She was touched; her eyes began shining with tears. She forgot about her inflammation at all. Everyone was happy.
At first my decision was never to tell anyone how it really was. But at some party I was too drunk and told my girl everything. Certainly, she was offended and didn't talk to me for some time but... True love breaks any walls. As for me, I still have such love. Peter, 27
