Parkinson, Alzheimer Center

Having forgotten something, young people sometimes like to joke tracing their forgetfulness to dementia. In the majority of cases they actually have no idea what they are talking about and what dementia is. In fact, trying to joke about this mental disorder is not funnier than mocking at cancer.

It is, however, true that progressive memory loss in patients suffering from any type of dementia often begins as a simple forgetfulness. Still, it may be the only thing many of us know about such diseases as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s, which belong to the cohort of conditions commonly known as dementia.

In spite of the fact that this collective name includes quite a bunch of disorders of the same type, the two mentioned ones – Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s – are the most common conditions targeting human brains. Consequently, it is worthy of learning at least the basic facts about these health problems, especially taking into account that they may occur at any age, destroying thus the myth of dementia as condition purely of the old.

Pillwatch.com offers its readers the comprehensive database on the Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, including the description of the most vague, as well as the most pronounced symptoms; the information on the most likely and the most anecdotal causes of these disorders, and finally, data on the simplest and the most sophisticated treatment options available today against these mental illnesses.

Hopefully, our articles will be of help for those who are anxious not to miss the early signs of the diseases, who seek for the ways to prevent their early onset, and for those who are confused with the myths about these health conditions.

Our quizzes may be used as the tools to check whether our readers understand the given information correctly.

We hope to ease the living, to support the courage, and increase the patience of the dementia sufferers and their care-givers.
