All my failures were accompanied with rain. When I broke my leg in childhood, it was raining. When I broke up with my boyfriend a month ago, it also rained. And I have a lot of such examples.
As I've said I broke up with my boyfriend and my whole life turned into one big date! Almost each day I met some guy in Internet and sooner or later we had a date. However, none of them could really kindle my interest.
Then there appeared Max. He fulfilled all my thoughts, my heart and my soul when I received his picture by e-mail. When I send him my picture he asked my telephone number. "That supposes to mean he likes me", - I thought.
Max seemed to be a nice talker and I could hardly wait for our meeting in reality. However, he didn't hurry with it and that made me edgy. Finally, during our next telephone talk, after his usual "Ok, bye-bye" I gave under and invited him myself. After a long pause Max agreed and we fixed the date.
It rained that day and I felt something would be wrong. But the main problem was - guess what - a huge pimple, which decided to guest right on my nose and exactly on that day! Everything presaged a bad day which meant a bad date. However I felt there wouldn't be another chance to meet with Max. And I took hazards.
A great layer of make-up foundation made the pimple invisible and I almost relaxed. I put the tinting cream into my handbag (just in case), readjusted my hairdo, took an umbrella and went out to catch a taxi. A strong wind got off when a taxi drove up.
We quickly got to the restaurant where Max had to be waiting for me. Hardly had I put up the umbrella when a powerful, rapid windflaw whipped it off my hands and threw away! As I was running after my umbrella I suddenly realized I was short of something - it's because I LEFT MY HANDBAG IN THE TAXI!
Leaving the umbrella I ran back but the taxi had already left... and my umbrella disappeared from the field of vision too. Being completely sodden I went into the restaurant. Max wasn't there yet, so I had time to brush up myself. My face was wet, I had to wipe it with napkins and surely wiped off my cheek colors, tinting cream... suddenly a huge red spot in the mirror caught my attention - it was that pimple!
I was getting the jitters - the tinting cream was in my handbag in the taxi... I couldn't do anything and the pimple was so huge now! I wanted to get away but it was too late - Max was approaching my table. He was brilliant! He looked at me and a smile quickly disappeared from his face. I understood - he was looking at my nose!
"Hi... I see you've been caught in the rain. Have you ordered anything?" - he couldn't help staring at my nose. I just shook my head. "That's good 'cause I've got only some minutes... problems at home, you know... Well, I have to leave you. Sorry." - he left Ietting me give way to my tears.

I was standing by the road trying to catch a cab and crying. I understood Max wouldn't call. The rain didn't stop and I was soaked to the skin. Cabs didn't stop either. Suddenly somebody's umbrella hid me from the rain :"Such a beautiful lady alone...under the rain..." "I'm not beautiful at all," - murmured I and turned to the stranger - I had nothing to lose now. It was a nice-looking guy. To my surprise he didn't look at my nose at all! "Yes, you ARE beautiful!" - he smiled and gave me his jacket.
This way I met my new and hope last love. Rain doesn't seem so bad any longer...
