Hair Stories: Mr. Perfect

I’m curious how young people get bald-headed. I think this process is somehow linked to how much bile they have inside. Or maybe it depends on how much they care about their hair. I don’t know…

When I was a child I had a hunting stereotype about hair. I thought only good people could have good hair. Like about everything else. Good people have the best things that bad people do not deserve.

I remember my mom took me to her colleague’s place. My dad was busy at work and couldn’t join us. As minutes flew away, I was getting more and more hysteric about going home. No one could sooth me in my desire to see dad. Then after a couple of drinks the colleague’s husband made an attempt to ‘play’ with the weird child. “Where are you going, little girl? To your daddy? Look at me? Ain’t I your daddy?” he said. “No!” I replied “My dad has a lot of hair on his head and a moustache and you are bald-headed!”

Back in school I was slightly ‘in love’ with the elder brother of my best friend Julia. Nick was his name. I think his tolerance of me was exceptional as he pretended that I didn’t exist at all. I never told Julia anything about my ‘deep’ feelings to her brother. But she wasn’t blind.

When a couple of years passed and I revealed my ‘secret’ to Julia she just shrugged and said: “No wonder. He’s so cute.” My feelings balanced out in the end and I ‘fell out of love’ with him in a short time to have you know.

Like I said earlier, he was very cute. Fair-haired, green-eyed, with angelic voice and extremely smart. He had everything to become a man of someone’s dream, to break hundreds of hearts, and make a girl more than happy. We were growing and getting taller, bigger, cuter and inevitably smarter. Julia and I were still very close friends and dated different guys now and again. Nick wasn’t afraid of time at all, the older he came to be, the cuter he was.

The period of puberty didn’t change his voice dramatically. He had no pimples on his perfect face. Crowds of girls were mad about him, fortunately not me anymore. But he was really picky and a bit arrogant. Mr. Perfect he was. He didn’t have many friends as they were leaving him one by one, mostly because of his being arrogant, but I think they were just jealous about his success with the girls.

The only person he could get along perfectly was his sister, excluding items. The items were all about her being cool-headed when it came to his appearance. She was saying that one day he would pay for being so selfish. If for no other reason then for being rude with his ex-girlfriends.

Anyways, everything was going more or less well, until someone told me that perfect Nicky was increasingly losing his hair. It was a shocker! How come? He used to spend hours taking care of his perfect hair, soft skin, and the whitest teeth. He could polish his nails for hours. So I was shocked and couldn’t believe that.

But that really was so. By the time we graduated from high school he didn’t have hair on a half of his head. I guess his head experienced all available medications that treat hair loss, but it couldn’t help. And then his head opened to the world. Everybody started to jabber that Mr. Perfect wasn’t that perfect, he had big ears and a big head that was even bigger without hair.

Now Mr. Perfect takes Propecia to improve the thing with his hair. His current girlfriend hopes it will work.
