When I moved to another apartment I found out that its previous owner had left some of his things. Most of them were of no interest to me: an old dirty carpet, an ugly cracked picture, some ancient books covered with dust and...a diary. I knew that it's not good to read someone's diary but as I didn't know its owner and was sure that nobody would get to know I gave way to my curiosity.
It was a diary of a middle-aged bald man, which contained mostly his judgments about advantages and disadvantages of a bald patch. From this diary I understood that the man became bald not long ago, therefore this problem worried him a lot. I'll try to convey the main idea of these judgments and I think it will be interesting for other bald men to read it.
"When I noticed the first signs of baldness I was shocked! I began buying all existing ointments, preparations, shampoo and so on. It stopped the process but just for a while. I was losing much hair with each move of my comb and soon I understood that my bald future was inevitable.
Yesterday I was thinking about disadvantages of baldness but suddenly realized that it has advantages too. Not to forget about this happy innovation I'm going to write down everything that came across my mind yesterday.
ADVANTAGES. First, it's the economy of money - there's no need to buy shampoo, a comb and to spend money for a haircut at hairdresser's once a month. Now I can spend more money on cigarettes and beer! Secondly, it's the economy of time - I don't need to wait in a queue to the hairdresser's for half an hour or to spend the same time looking for appropriate shampoo. At last, I'll have more time for watching football on TV!
Now I have a new sexy image - most women consider bald men to be the best lovers! Moreover, I remembered that many outstanding men (scientists, politicians) were/are bald too. This fact really cheered me up! Finally, I noticed several scars on my head, which couldnt be seen under my hair, and as we all know: scars decorate a man.
A couple of days ago, my girlfriend and I went to the cinema. On half way through, she realized that she had left her mirror at home. I took out a handkerchief, polished my bald patch and she used it as a mirror. She liked it so much that I think next time she'll leave her mirror at home deliberately! And the last advantage I could find is that during hot seasons of the year I'll experience less discomfort because of sweating.

Not bad! But for comparison, I'll write down DISADVANTAGES too. It seems to me that I look older now, though my girlfriend denies this. Secondly, it's much colder in winter without hair, so I'll have to buy a warmer hat for next year. However, summer also prepares an unpleasant surprise for me - a great chance to get sunburn! One more negative fact is the impossibility to change my appearance by changing my hairdo. The suggestion of wearing a wig I rejected at once! Finally, not all women believe in bald lovers, unfortunately. I know it from my own experience... "
I couldn't add anything to that and made a conclusion - there are more advantages! Perhaps, I should shave off my hair too...
