Ben was walking down a long street. He was wearing a fashionable black suit, his shoes were black and polished, his eyes were covered with black sunglasses and his head was completely...bald. All passing by women turned back to look at him, he didn't turn back but he felt they did. Ben was absolutely sure he could have a date with any of them if he wished. And this self-confidence gave even more charm to him.
Turning round the corner he saw her - a woman of his dreams. Any other man wouldn't even dare to look at her, but not Ben. "Ben, you've changed since our last meeting. This baldness make you so sexy..." - she whispered and touched his head. Then there was a passionate kiss and ... the alarm clock rang. Ben woke up.
Just another night of dreaming about Anna, but this time he was bald, and she liked it! Getting dressed Ben looked into the mirror - his hair was terrible, so untidy, unmanageable and with dandruff. "But still it's better to have such hair than not to have it at all", - thought Ben and went to work. There he saw Anna again, and again spent the whole day trying to attract her attention. He forgot when he worked properly last time!
Ben was 35. He desperately loved Anna, one of his colleagues, but she persistently continued ignoring him. Anna never looked at him, never heard him, perhaps, she didn't even know about his existance at all. "Maybe you should change something in your appearance... She doesn't like you as you are, it's normal, tastes differ." - friends advised. But what had he to change?
Another night, another dream about Anna and again Ben was bald! This morning, looking into the mirror, Ben wasn't so sure that his hair is better than the absence of it. Perhaps, these dreams were somekind of a sign... Maybe this was what he needed to change - his hairdo.
As usually, by the end of the day, sitting at home Ben was making calculation in his notebook: "Anna passed by 9 times, looked into my way (but didn't see me) 7 times,..." These facts depressed him more and more. His friends were right - he needed to change something. And his mirror continued saying: "Change your hairdo!"
Ben understood that if he tried to think it over he would begin hesitating and wouldn't change anything as a result. So, without thinking he went to the nearest hairdresser's: "Make it bald!" In 10 minutes his wish was fulfilled. Ben opened his eyes and looked at the man in the mirror: "WOW" - all he could murmured and went home.
After an hour of examinating a new personage in the mirror, Ben decided that he looked much better than the previous one. Tomorrow would be weekends and a big shopping for Ben's new image. It was high time to attack Anna's heart!
On Monday morning Ben woke up full of energy. This night he didn't see any dreams but slept well. He was ready to surprise everyone and was sure he would do that. When a man in a black suit, black shoes and with black sunglasses on his bald head entered the office, the company stopped working for a while. Everyone gazed at him and kept silence. Ben froze right on the threshold with his eyes wide opened from scare.
Sudenly, a familiar and so loved voice whispered: "Is it a new guy?" And someone whispered in reply: "Anna, it's our Ben! He's not a new guy, he's been working here for 3 years!" "Oh, really? He's so cute! Never saw him before. I need to know him better..." - whispered Anna. Now Ben was sure he would soon have a date with Anna. And this self-confidence gave even more charm to him...
