I heard this story from my fellow-student but I don't know where he knows it from... it doesn't really matter.
It was like this. Not young, not really handsome but a rich man fell in love with a young, pretty but very stubborn and nasty woman. It looked like she loved him too, so their relationships developed rather rapidly. A month later he proposed to her and everything had to be like in the fairy tales if only the "princess" hadn't been so stubborn and nasty! Unfortunately, most princesses are like this.
In addition to our hero's unattractiveness and age, he was bald! This fact distressed his beloved woman a lot, so she gave him an ultimatum: either a hairy head and the wedding or nothing! Moreover, she demanded not several hairs covering the crown, but real, thick hair!
A wig variant was excluded at once - it's not the way men do! Having no choice our Romeo sold a number of his shares and left for Moscow, where, as he had been told, there was a good clinic dealing with hair transplantation. However, Moscow doctors told him that his bald patch was in the neglected condition and they could do nothing about it. There still was a hope of solving the problem in a German clinic - the only place where he could find help, as the Moscow doctors told him.
Well, it was not pleasant news, but love makes the world go round, so the decision was made. The man returned home, sold much more of his shares and left for Germany. He spent there a week, found the necessary clinic and paid much money for the hair transplantation made. But there was one condition for future success - it was necessary not to cut the new hair at least for a month, so that it could grow!
With bright dreams and almost empty purse, Romeo returned home. All the time of his travelings his "princess" didn't know their real reason. At first nobody noticed any changes and it seemed like hair would never grow. The man started worrying, but soon short hair covered his bald head. It made him so happy that he decided to celebrate this event (and the future wedding) with his friends first and the next day with his girlfriend in the restaurant, where he would tell her everything.
Though it cost our hero much money, he could not help inviting all of his friends, close and not really close. It was something like a stag party. You know, much alcohol and the following consequences always accompany such parties. Well, this party wasn't an exception.
Having drunk too much the ex-bald started to argue with a waiter about his hair. The thing was that the waiter had seen him before the operation and knew that he had been bald. Actually, everyone knew that, but the ill-fated waiter started to needle our man and offended him a lot - nothing hurts like the truth! So, the man decided to bet that he had his own natural hair, but he had shaved it, and now he was going to let it grow and to show it to the nasty waiter in a month.
Our client was so drunk that he completely forgot about the debate in some minutes. So did all his friends, as they were completely drunk, too. But the stubborn, unforgiving waiter wasn't drunk! He waited patiently till late at night, till all the guests lay on/under the tables half dead because of too much alcohol. He simply took a razor that was among the gifts and shaved our heros new hair off!
When the man woke up, he found a note in front of him. It said: "If this is really your hair it will grow up again very soon! But I think I won the bet!"
