When my granny was a girl she noticed that her grandmother's hair was too thin and ugly. Certainly, she understood that it's hard for old people to avoid this problem, so she decided to find a solution of the hair problem before it actually appears. The idea was to collect all her cut hair so that to make a wig when it is necessary. A wig of her own natural hair - nobody would understand its a wig!
Being a young woman grandma changed her haircut very often. She was rather fashionable! Going to the hairdresser's she always took a little paper bag where she kept all her hair. Some people laughed at her but it couldn't make her refuse the plan. Besides, it was working: when my granny got married she already had enough of healthy, strong and beautiful hair to make a wonderful wig.
My grandfather was a handsome man. But, at his thirties, it was already obvious that he was going to lose his hair very soon. Well, he and my grandma loved each other till they became old. However, with the lapse of time my granny turned into a querulous, nasty woman and suspected grandpa of the desire to steal her hair. And grandfather became...bald and all the time was making plans of stealing his wife's hair! The funniest thing in this situation was that they both pretended as if nothing was happening and each of them was sure nobody knew about their plans.
And the war began! Granny hid her hair to a new place almost every day. Grandpa didnt guess about that and never searched those places where he had already looked. Therefore, he couldn't find it. And when they met each other in the kitchen or anywhere else they pretended to be very friendly and kind as if nothing was happening: "I've just cooked your favorite apple pie, my dearest. Would you like to taste it?" - said granny planning to re-hide her hair while he is eating. "Of course, honey! With great pleasure! Everyone knows that your pies are the best!" - replied grandpa trying to understand what it all meant.
Surely, the safest place for my granny's hair would be her head but her own hair was still ok and there was no need to make a wig. Meanwhile, grandpa was already completely bald and this fact irritated him a lot!
Once my granny was invited to her old friend's place in the country just to have a chat, to remember old times.... Granny missed her friend so much and was so busy with choosing the dress that even forgot to re-hide her collected hair! So she left and was to return the next day. My grandfather couldn't even dream about such opportunity! Hardly the door was closed behind granny, he ran (in the direct meaning of this word!) upstairs and began his search. I never interfered in their "war" and this time did the same. It was interesting for me just to follow the events.
When my granny returned next day, the first thing she did was checking the secret place. In some minutes, she ran up to me: "Where is your grandpa?" - she was like a bear with a sore head. I said that I didn't know. "Ok. Then I will wait for him!" - she sat in the armchair in front of the door, made a serious face, crossed her hands on the chest and fixed her angry eyes on the door. I understood: the hair disappeared! I sat behind her and prepared for the show.

Soon the door opened and a man came in. His hair was curly and dark and he looked like 40 years old. The most pleasant and surprising thing about the man was that he was my grandpa! Granny couldn't say a word. She was staring at him and the expression of anger was disappearing from her face. Finally, she said: "Well, I must admit you won. However, I'm not sorry. You look perfect, my dearest!" Then they embraced and kissed each other...
It was so romantic, I couldn't help crying! I wish I loved my husband so much at 65, too. That's why I also decided to collect my cut hair. Not for me, however, but for my future husband!
