Though everyone knows that smoking is harmful for one's health, thousands of people all over the world smoke different kinds of cigarettes or cigars. It wouldn't be so horrific if these people were only male. But the statistics shows that in some countries there are even more smoking women than men.
Moreover many children start smoking at the age of 10-12 years old, hiding in passageways or dark places, therefore no parent can be sure for 100% that his (her) child doesn't smoke. So smoking is considered to be a global problem which must be solved immediately.
Not every smoker knows what his cigarette consists of and what illnesses it may cause. In fact each cigarette contains nicotine, water, carbon dioxide, ketons and resin. All these ingredients aren't useful for your health (except water, of course).
However, firstly you start with one cigarette per day, then it seems to be not enough and you take 2-3 cigarettes, and finally you smoke 20-30 cigarettes per day. Isn't it a familiar story for you? If it is, then you should know what kind of illnesses you may already have.
Smoking causes: cancer of bladder, chronic bronchitis, cancer of lungs, tooth illnesses, skin ageing, heart disease and impotence. Interesting, but exactly the last "side effect" of smoking makes hundreds of men give it up -- not cancer of lungs, not cancer of bladder but impotence! Moreover smoking makes man's sperm less effective which leads to infertility.
According to the statistics 8 smoking men out of 10 are impotents. And don't be sure you'll always remain the 9th or the 10th one. Why does it happen? The thing is that smoking leads to violation of blood circulation in penis; blood vessels become narrow therefore less blood can get to penis. Of course, the older you are and the longer you've been smoking the more chances to become an impotent you have.
Recently the scientists have proved that even if you start smoking light cigarettes or just reduce the number of cigarettes per day you still have enough chances to get impotence. Moreover passive smokers (who just smell the cigarette smoke) don't insure themselves against such a crush too. And do not hope that Viagra will help you to solve the problem (isn't it too late to say that?). The thing is that Hong Kong scientists have discovered that for most smoking impotents Viagra is helpless.
And you know: if Viagra can't help you....I'm so sorry for you (at least now you may not warry about your potence -- it won't be worse!).
That's why soon in all European countries packs of cigarettes will contain the notice "Smoking leads to impotence" or something like that . By the way, in Canada, Brazil and Thailand such a notice is already available on cigarette packets. More and more tabacco factories are closed every year ( in Poland, Ukraine, Finland...).

In most cafes, pubs and restaurants (in highly developed countries) special places for smoking people have been allocated. In some countries an open advertisment of cigarettes is already banned (as well as the advertisment of alcohol drinks), in others it's being planned to be banned.
I'm not really sure that all these precautions will bring success: if a person wants to smoke he (she) will smoke; until we clearly understand how harmful for us smoking is we will smoke.
A very interesting fact that The English Union of Doctors has counted up that 1 cigarette takes away 5-6 minutes of our life. Now you may count approximately for how long you will be able to puff on in this world. Certainly, you may say: we will all die sooner or later. That's true. But better later than sooner, isn't it?
AM.
