The Way of Life Can Affect its Quality

According to the definition, life is the property or quality that distinguishes living organisms from dead organisms and inanimate matter, manifested in functions such as metabolism, growth, reproduction (!!!), and response to stimuli or adaptation to the environment originating from within the organism.

As we see, reproductive function plays one of the key roles in defining whether an organism is alive or not. Thus, it is no wonder that men with erectile dysfunction (ED) treat this condition as a very serious disorder, affecting the quality of life.

Doctors say that 80% of all ED cases have physical causes, among which lifestyle issues play rather significant role.

Here I would like to make a small remark: speaking about lifestyle, I mean a style of living, reflecting attitudes and values of a person, and not brand name condoms :-)

So, what are these lifestyle issues or factors, which can cause erectile dysfunction and thus decrease the quality of life and put at risk one of the most important living function?

Smoking – a cigarette contains about 100 substances, which finally affect all major systems of the human organism. Taking into account the fact, that erection process involves participation of nervous, vascular and hormonal system, smoking becomes a serious threat for erection.

Different studies on smoking and ED showed that this bad habit adds 50% risk for a man to develop erectile dysfunction. So, in order to decrease the chances of impotence -

AVOID SMOKING.

Exercising - it is not new that many of the human diseases originate from human laziness. Lack of physical exercising does not lead to impotence directly, but it undoubtedly leads to decreasing of defense potential in human organism, thus making it easier for different diseases to affect it. So, if you want to keep many diseases, including ED, out of your life –

EXERCISE.

Alcohol drinking. Well, it does not look possible to avoid alcohol drinking completely in all the life situations. Moreover, the concept about the profits of alcohol in small dozes for a human organism is still alive.

However, moderation is what everybody should keep in mind when taking alcohol. It is a fact, that 80% of chronic alcoholics have also chronic ED. So, the conclusion is –

BEWARE OF ALCOHOL ABUSE.

Excessive weight is not a problem of esthetic perception only, when it is difficult for an overweight man to find a sexual partner; neither is it a problem of comfort during the sexual intercourse, when even the whole Kama Sutra cannot help with the appropriate position.

Excessive weight is usually accompanied with certain changes in vascular and hormonal systems, which are life-important for erection. That is why, in order to keep ED away and feel completely comfortable during sex –

KEEP YOUR WEIGHT UNDER CONTROL.

Stress is what a modern man is faced with constantly. Family difficulties, job problems or just unsuccessful game of the favorite football team can upset the psychological balance of a man. It is not a wonder that such pressure can make a man as well as his penis depressed.

Taking into consideration that 20% of all ED cases have psychological reasons, it makes no sense to call in question the importance of mental health as a possible contributor to erectile dysfunction. So, to be on the safe side, follow the next rule:

LEARN TO MANAGE STRESS AND ANXIETY.

Of course, all the advices, described above, are not brand new health care tips. But on the other hand, modern medicine agrees with the ancient suggestion that it is easier to prevent a disease than to cure it. Consequently, the adherence to the above rules can surely prevent or at least minimize one's chances to develop many diseases, including but not limited to erectile dysfunction.
