Abortion has been known since ancient times. It wasn't widely practiced because it was banned. Nowadays more and more women resort to abortion even in countries where it is illegal. It has become a serious problem for all countries because people's opinions are devided into: pros and cons.
Let's clear up this situation. Generally, abortion can be spontaneous and induced. Spontaneous abortion occurs because of some disease, accident, hormonal imbalance or even smoking. But in most cases it happens not at a woman's wish. Induced abortion is the ending of pregnancy by deliberate removing the fetus from the woman's body.
Some people think that abortion must be banned because it is, in fact, the murder of a baby, so it's a crime. The church is also against abortion as well as against a murder. Besides, any kind of abortion injures a woman's organism. But others believe that a woman should have an unrestricted right to an abortion because it concerns only her body, her health and her baby. So people disagree on these two points.
That's why in different countries exist different laws about abortion. In some countries it is allowed only under certain circumstances: if a woman's life is in danger, if a child is sure to be born unhealthy, if a pregnancy is the result of raping or something like that. In other countries it is completely illegal or vice versa. By the way, for the first time induced abortion became legal all over the world in 1791 and only until 1810.
If a woman wants to have an abortion she should know the following. There are several abortion methods and they differ according to the term of pregnancy mostly. The easiest of them is medicomental, with the help of special tablets, which should be taken by a patient during 2 hours under the doctor's control. This method of abortion may be used only till the 8th week of pregnancy.
The most modern method is vacuum aspiration. It's a little bit more difficult and may be used till the 5th week of pregnancy only. In some unsuccessful cases (rare) the pregnancy may continue after it.
The next method is a real surgical operation... for those who were sleeping and suddenly awoke being pregnant the 3rd month! What were you dreaming about these 3 months? It's no good to have such a late abortion as it may have serious side effects for your health.
And the last method is not recommended at all but can be used....in a state of emergency. For example, when the term of pregnancy is over 12 weeks and suddenly it comes out that the baby has serious mental or physical defects (or that a woman's life is endangered by her pregnancy). In such cases "artificial labor" is used. It is done usually with the help of special liquid that makes the fetus die and pass from his mother's body.
Every woman should know that any abortion brings emotional, physical and mental harm to her. And what to say about the baby? It was proved by the scientists that this little creature feels pain during the abortion. Dear women, don't listen to anybody, make your own decision! Remember: there's always a way out. First of all they are your babies, little parts of yourselves that need to be protected by their mommies. Are you really so cruel to kill them?

I am about 5 weeks pregnant and I was going to get an abortion. I wa only going to get it because the father didn't want another child. We have a baby girl together already and it is a strain. We have not been together for about 8 months, but after reading this artical I have changed my mind about killing an innocent life. Thank you so very much for the eye opener.

I already have a little girl and I ended up pregnant again when my little girl was about seven or eight months. The father and I were not really financially stable to have another child. I also was about to start my second year of school. He supported both decisions, but I knew he really wanted to keep the baby. I had no were to turn again and I had no one who would help. We really did not want to go through that all over again. We want to be set and ready before we decide to have another child so our children would not have to struggle like we did.

Plus if you really dont want the baby you could give it up for adoption or once its been born you could just drop it off to the fire station and they'll take care of it from there. But really killing a human is just murder. I agree abortion is wrong. I have always felt that way, being raised as a Christian, though it doesnt have any influence my paper in any way. I need information concerning the matter. Abortion is sick and wrong and i don't care what the circumstances are. Someone asked me what if someone was raped or the preganacy came about by incest. In my opinion the unborn child has nothing to do with the actions of others and shouldn't be punished and killed because of them. Murder is wrong no matter how you spin it in any abortion debate. 'excuse me'- i think that your sister should have made her own decision. it is not your baby, so you don't have to go the rest of your life thinking 'what if?'. abortion is not 'absolutely horrible'... abortion is a choice that women have to save their own lives. hypothetically speaking, imagine that a woman is raped and becomes pregnant. her rapist is a cocaine addict, who also happens to be HIV positive. now, after being raped, she is HIV positive as well. The fetus is more than likely to be HIV positive, and also, is more likely to be addicted just like the father was. Not only that, what if the woman wasn't in the best of health conditions already? suppose that she small, elderly woman, who, by the grace of God, is still able to produce another being. Assume that she has a small frame, to which her previous birthing process broke her pelvic bone, and if attempted to give birth again, would surely cause much more pain and agony to the mother, even threatening her own life. what if this was your sister? or you? i feel that those people who turn up their noses to people who get these procedures done are good-for nothings... you can't go throughout life not considering all the aspects the God and life has to offer. only God can judge us, we should not be the ones passing out judgements. i, personally, can not wait for my fiance and i to start having our own children. this fight over abortion will never be over. i hope that those people who are against abortion realize that the freedoms they are trying to take away from women could ultimately kill them. we are only given one life, and we have to make the best of it... noone can tell us how we should live life... pro-choice------ the way to live

i am for it. i have read many articles with the same information and yeah it may be murder, but what it wasnt your choice to end up pregnate in the first place. and it might be the mothers fault in the first place, but what if as a teenager you faced the problem and saw it as your only way out. What about the the mothers feelings, what about how dramatically her life would change. i would never like to be in such cituation but if it was to happen to me i dontknow what i do. my opinion is its the mothers choice and the partners if hes involved.

I am for it in some circumstances..but not all. Dont get me wrong i have friend who have had abortions but i dont stop speaking to them. I had a friend who had 3 abortions because she slept with the wrong guy...i have 2 kids and it hurts because my kids smile brings joy into my life. I always tell my friends if you lie down without protection you have a 99% chance of becoming pregnant. It depends on the woman but me i wouldnt do it SORRRY!

I don't believe in abortion. I think the lord and your body will make that decision. As for everyone making "mistakes"...GROW UP!! Most of you on thius site are to damn young to be having sex to start with! If you are old enough to lay down and do the deed than you are old enough to make the decision to raise the child or let someone else. There are people who want children and can't have them. Give them a gift. It all starts with Responsibility, making the right choices from that first kiss on.

I am anti-abortion. There are so many people out there that can't have children that would love to have the chance to adopt one. If you don't want the child someone where you live is probably looking for or wanting a child. Then the you, the child, and the other person would all win. I know people that can't have kids and I just think that if the child can live in a loving home why not give them life?
